The Maelstrøm story began in 2015 with a bold idea: cold brew coffee in bottled concentrate, better known as Cold Brew. This delicious beverage marked the beginning of the Maelstrom adventure. Today, this passion for coffee continues with an exceptional collaboration: the beans come from Escape Coffee Companya Montreal roaster. The establishment still produces the coldbrew that contributes to its reputation.

Maelstrøm masters the roles of specialty café, cocktail bar and restaurant. Whether it’s for a well-deserved caffeine break, a gourmet brunch or a well-dosed cocktail in the evening: we meet here for the pleasure of the taste buds.

In its charming 55-seat premises, the Maelstrøm seduces with its warm look: original wooden floors, red brick walls and large period windows. It's the kind of place where you can sip a latté in the morning or a signature cocktail in the evening.
Kitchen
In the kitchen, chef Sara Elizabeth Arab offers a menu that changes with the seasons, using ingredients from local market gardeners. Brunch is served from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., and from 5 p.m. the evening menu offers refined dishes to share, perfect with a drink at the bar.
